Tanner earned a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah where he participated in the Business Scholars program. Tanner also earned a Master of Science in Finance from the David Eccles School of Business at the University of Utah. Tanner holds the Commercial Banking & Credit Analyst (CBCA) and Training The Street (TTS) certifications.

With over seven years of experience in the private capital industry, Tanner is a passionate and skilled financial professional helping entrepreneurs and businesses achieve their growth potential.

Tanner is responsible for managing all activities related to the Rovin Capital Strategic Debt Fund. In addition to management activities, Tanner engages in sourcing, evaluating, and executing investment opportunities across various sectors and stages while also providing strategic and operational guidance to portfolio companies, and maintaining strong relationships with investors, partners, and advisors. Tanner leverages his expertise in financial modeling, financial analysis, sales, and team leadership to deliver value-added solutions that align with Rovin’s mission and vision. Tanner is proud to be part of a diverse and collaborative team that strives to make a positive impact on the economy and society.

Prior to his current role at Rovin Capital, Tanner was the Vice President, Financial Analyst at Black Oak Capital in Salt Lake City, Utah, and worked as a Staff Accountant at Savas Greene & Company in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Personal Bio

Tanner is from Utah, where he grew up engaged in the outdoors, participating in activities such as rugby, skiing, mountain biking, and many more. Tanner is an Eagle Scout and has a passion for exploration and learning. Beyond his outdoor pursuits, Tanner enjoys quality time spent with his wife and kids.
